Southern Exposure 2025: When Produce Means Family
Each year, the Southeastern Produce Council’s Southern Exposure conference brings together the brightest minds, biggest hearts, and tastiest bites in the produce industry—and this year, the theme said it all: Produce Means Family.
From the moment you walked through the doors, that sense of family was everywhere. Hugs instead of handshakes. Warm smiles, familiar faces, and the kind of conversations that pick up right where you left off. This isn’t just an industry—it’s a community. And Southern Exposure felt like the ultimate family reunion.
Inspiration Rooted in Purpose The conference featured a stellar lineup of speakers who reminded us how important it is to show up as the best version of ourselves—not just in business, but in life. Their messages were powerful, heartfelt, and energizing. They reminded us that when you work in produce, you’re not just selling fruits and veggies. You’re part of something bigger. You're helping people live healthier, fuller lives. And that shared mission brings us together like family.
Celebrating Our Own The feeling of family was especially strong as the SEPC honored individuals who have achieved incredible milestones in the industry. These are the kind of people who’ve nurtured this community over time, lifted others up, and helped shape the path forward. Watching them be recognized was more than just celebratory—it was emotional, and so well-deserved.
A Taste of What’s to Come Of course, no family gathering is complete without food—and Southern Exposure delivered! The booths were filled with colorful, flavorful produce and exciting new products, all created with care and passion. Attendees had the chance to sample and learn about what’s coming soon to grocery stores across the country. From fresh innovations to familiar favorites, it was a vibrant reminder of how produce continues to evolve—and how it connects us all.
Produce Is the Heart of It All At the core of this event—and this industry—is a simple truth: produce nourishes more than just our bodies. It nourishes communities, traditions, and relationships. And Southern Exposure brought that to life. Being surrounded by people who share the same values and commitment to health, wellness, and sustainability makes you feel like you truly belong.
Because produce does mean family—and this event proved it once again.
We’re grateful to be part of this mission and this community. Here’s to more connection, more inspiration, and more fresh food on every table!
