Cartermere Farms is a family owned, family operated organic farm near Celina, Texas. The 300-acre farm currently has 5 acres in vegetable production, with 48,000 sqft. under high tunnels. In addition, the farm maintains approximately 250 laying chickens, 18 bee hives, and 100 sheep.
Production includes all North Texas viable crops; including tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, potatoes, onions, leafy greens, root crops, peas & beans, squash, okra, melons, cucumbers and various herbs. Additionally, the farm also harvests native and wild fruits and nuts on the property. Animal products include; corn-free, soy-free, non-GMO organic eggs, grass-fed lamb and unfiltered raw organic honey.
Cartermere Farms is dedicated to the production of truly natural products, utilizing no pesticides, herbicides, chemical fertilizers or any other non-organic crop management practices. Additionally, they exclude unnatural medications, antibiotics and GMO-inclusive feeds in their livestock.
The farm prides itself on being open and transparent with their customers, recognizing they have been entrusted to produce quality foods for local families and restaurants. As such, they make every effort to provide as much information as possible on each of their products, their practices and farming methods.
We currently sell to restaurants and the community can order from our weekly availability on our site from Wednesday-Friday at noon and then pick up at the farm from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Friday.
